Read and understand before registering or posting

Do to a number of misunderstandings I am posting a quick reference for rules of the forum.

1- Photos must be posted at any time as a link to your photo hosting site. We do not host photos. We will allow up to two images in a post no larger than 400 x 400. Images that exceed those guidlines will be deleted, no warnings given. So you may have up to two as images, and as many links as you wish.? GDO reserves the right to change photos to links at anytime.

2. Avatars cannot be larger than 90 x 90 in size and set to low resolution.

3. Post may not flame anyone, we encourage debate but do not get personal. Topics that seem to be going nowhere, getting to personal, etc. will be locked or deleted. Once it is locked do not open another thread wondering why. Send admin a PM.

4. Signatures may contain 2-3 lines at a normal size font. Any animated images that disrupt or cause slow loading of forum will be deleted without warning.

5. Introduction to new members- We encourage all new members to introduce themselves and their pups.

6. Links to personal sites- You may have a link to your site in your signature,provided it is not a forum site. If you have aforum on your site, please contact GD before posting link. We will require a link to GDO if your link is approved.

7. Membership and registration- membership is free, all that we ask is that you login and post within three days of registering and at least once every thirty days, if you are going to be away for extended periods let us know.

Email addresses must be the one provided to you by your ISP. Web based or free email addresses such as yahoo, hotmail, etc. may not be used to register. Currently, you have the choice of hiding your email address, soon it will be done automatically.

Membership is limited to those over 18 years of age.

8. Post- We do not have an unlimited amount of server space. Post that go inactive for more than 30-60 days will be deleted or archived to clear up space in the database. Deletion of threads will result in your post count dropping. Topics in the Human Side Category are the first to go. Topics in the Golden Talk section are usually left for 45-60 days, sometimes longer depending on the topic. We would rather you start a new topic than bring up an old one.

Good Day post are usually deleted two days after the post start date, ex. Monday's good day post will be deleted on Wednesday.

Happy Birthday post are usually deleted about a week after the birthday.

10. We do not allow discusssions related to religion and politics on this site.Exception- canine legislative issues can be discussed

11. Links in topics- please allow topics to get started before posting links to outside information. If the link is the subject of the topic that is fine.

12. If you have a problem with another member, that is between you and them. Do not contact me to sort out your personnal problems. If the problem between members becomes a board problem, the parties will be asked to leave.

13. Our private messaging system is for use to discuss GDO issues and general chat. It is not to be used for spam,advertisements,harassment,etc. Abuse of the system will result in member deletion or PM Lockout.

14. Our admins,moderators,other staff, and members do enjoy their privacy. Please do not post threads wondering were so and so is. If they wanted us to know, they would tell us.
